This year jewelry still rates high as a popular accessory and there doesn’t seem to be anything changing in the near future. Most women still love their jewelry and still want the look and still want to wear more and more unique jewelry. This year Mother Nature’s gems are big .

The wearing of gold and diamonds is starting to become very expensive and moving out of the price range of most women for every day wearing. For this reason, gold electroplating is now becoming the new look and the price is right. The two main types of plating are over a base metal like brass or copper but many better quality fashion pieces are gold over silver. These better quality fashion pieces are so well made and they may even come with a life time warranty.
The selection of jewelry this year is very good and the prices are just as good as more new companies are moving into this plaiting of base metals. This year look for silver to be a big trend. The price of gold is high and silver is still at a price most people can afford. Now all this said, Stainless steel is becoming a big seller on the market. It is a very hard material and both gold and silver bond to it and many companies are now making beautiful jewelry from it.

Of course one could hint and hope for the best but spending time and getting the color that matches your skin is very important. You can find fresh water pearls in a rainbow of colors and can match to almost any dress or top you can think of as there at many colors to chose from, This year pink, pale peach , gold and bronze are just a few of the hot colors.
Eye of the Tiger
It seems this year that Mother Nature is playing a big part in the fashion trends. Warm stones like torques and jasper are being designed into great necklaces. Look for n large pendants to hang from the beads and chains. Tiger’s eye and Onyx as well as lapis are all popular this year.

This year along with the return of Mother Nature’s gem stones comes Rhine stones and beads in long necklaces along with earrings to match.
